Why when some persons are courting for relationships or meeting people in general, we are not always very open about our personalities? This is not something I have ever practised and never would, in fact I am Great in many areas but putting up a front is not one of my skills, I am too outspoken and passionate about my views and opinions and ways for that type of trickery.
Fortunately, due to life experiences, I already have 90% of the answers, yet I am still in disagreement with this trend of dishonesty and I would always be.
Life would be so much easier if people would honestly display themselves from the get go regarding all interaction giving persons whom they interact with a fair chance to make an upfront decision regarding their ability to cope with someone with a particular set of personality traits.
It is basically an entanglement when you trick someone into believing who you are is someone with a particular mindset and personality package then as they get deep in interaction your true side rears its unpleasant side in most cases, relationship, employment/corporate circles, social gatherings and otherwise.
It is a display of dishonesty, selfishness, control, disrespect and the list goes on, although you may think otherwise.
I employ you to confront someone who does this to you and see what they say, very politely ask the question…”I do not know you to be this way”, are you ok? I am almost certain that they would find a way to blame you either for misinterpretation of their character or imply that interaction with you is the reason for this change which is really “not a change”, instead just a true display.
Practice Authentically expressing yourself in what you do and say to others so that they can fairly assess you and make a decision whether they wish to remain in your circle or not. This is the mature and Selfless thing to do and it would incur less broken relationships, unnecessary arguments and misunderstandings in corporate circles and otherwise. Life would be less complicated overall.
The Lord has made us each in his own image and liking, and we are to wear this invisible crown as we pursue life in all Honesty and Integrity.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
1 Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and Peaceable life in all Godliness and Honesty.
1 Corinthians 7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
