A Prophecy is a word spoken over your life, the reason the Lord said to war with the Prophecy given to you is because that word spoken by faith by a man or woman of God once received with faith will come to pass.
1 Timothy 1:18 (KJV) This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare).
On the other hand if you do not have the faith to receive and come into agreement with that word it will not come to pass.
This is why you have to be careful what you come into agreement with and who you allow to speak over your life.
You can also Prophecy over your own life. Your words are powerful by the Grace of God.
