The seed of salvation started with a prayer my grandmother said, she was a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ and has gone to be with her father in Heaven a few years ago.
I remember visiting her one time and being with belly was desperate to begin a meal prepared at her home and she paused me saying: “You gotta pray, say Grace”, I said thank you Lord for the food then swiped it down. She was serious, you couldn’t eat a meal in her house without thanking God, she did not play.
I can imagine what her prayer life looked like praying for us all. Boy! We needed every drop of prayer we could get as sometimes the going got though. To this day I believe that the seed of my salvation was activated by my grandmother’s prayers.
Other than the two word grace my grandmother made me say I didn’t really cry out to God till a day in 2014, my God! I remember it like yesterday, the desperation to find help in God.
Young people are so spiritually dead they need the prayers of parents and grandparents. They need seeds of faith to be planted for them.
Today an entire generation is falling by the day. Dying out, dropping like flies, and absent from Church yet the grandparents are still in Church.
My question is this: Grandparents are you still standing in the gap? Are you still fighting in the spirit for the salvation of your family?
There is no prayer like the prayer of a Grandmother.
We see you in churches every week but where are your Children and Grandchildren? Don’t just count them as lost my Grandmother would never!
I recall her standing in the sun with her umbrella for hours waiting by our gate hoping to take us to Sunday Mass one Sunday morning to be disappointed yet she never gave up the fight for our Salvation.
Fight on Grandmas around the world. Fight on! The world needs you.
