Before I get into this message I’d like to share a quick experience with you I was even in evangelizing mode and kept speaking to people to go to church that they and they would say things to me like:
“Girl I didn’t have no money for the collection”
“They just opened a church instead of a bar”
“I don’t have church clothes”
“Why you want me to come, you want meh money?”
“I love God Don’t need to be in church for God to bless me”
“Well I’m still drinking you know I’m when I’m ready I’ll come”
“My husband said this and that about the Pastor”
And the list goes on and on I used to feel bad and then one day God said to me Those are the ones I’m sending you to.
The ones who are not in church for various reasons Years after I went back to church and was judged for having a tattoo on my wrist, they said I lacked wisdom, I felt the same way as how others who have chosen not to go to church was feeling “cast out”. I knew I was not called to the church instead to reach those who are outside.
I’m speaking to the church now, from the head to the lowest servant you are the reason the Church is empty:
- Give his sister in your household or community a dress or shoe to go, the word of God says in laboring we ought to support the weak.
- Give a brother a bag of rice to take to his family.
- Pray that the bars casinos and play whey boots closed down never to reopen in our community
- Carry baby formula for a new neighbor’s baby.
- Stop showing people bad face when they have no offering rather give them money to offer if it is so serious. Help them to create a flow.
- Don’t block people from finding employment just because they are not family.
- Support business ventures in the community.
- You meet your sister in the grocery looking down, talk to her, Counsel, Pray, support.
The church has put so much pressure upon people regarding the offering it has been made them the biggest excuse while people are not in the house of God.
The government is supposed to give grants and support to the church to support the financial aspects of the Ministry. The church is not supposed to be dependent on the poor people in the community to survive, rather have special events and fundraisers to fund community and charity events. We are mismanaging the churches finances. We keep collecting offerings for speakers but what about the widows? Jesus was always reflecting the love of God by being among those who needed his assistance. Don’t be a permanent crutch to anyone but a source of support to make them able again.
In the world at large the rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer it cannot be the same in the church We need to be different, create opportunities even within the Ministry, where I came from every functioning member down to the cleaner got a gift. The offering blessed the community. Don’t do things in such a way to create dependency syndrome but rather to project support and independence.
We cannot sit and warm benches and seats for years and then expect our ticket to Heaven to be sure. How can the seniors in the Ministry retire when they are no new people brought up To carry on the labor, who is going to carry on your family’s Legacy? There is work to be done within our own self before we pick up money to honor men and women in the body of Christ. So let us look within, and to those who are doing a good work in the background keep it up! May your days belong so that we can win thousands to Jesus.
