The Bible is a Record, it documents when Jesus walked the earth, it shows testimonies of Healing and Miracles, it gives instructions, counsel, rules and so much more records within the Bible about things that transpired on earth and in Heaven.
Such foundational information is so important because if it was not produced we would not have the understanding about the Sacrifice that led up to us having Salvation and we would not have known so many mysteries concerning the ways of God.
In a much more detailed format the Lord has records on each and every human that lives on the earth, he knows who is unsaved, who is saved, who is serving him, who is not etc. The Lord knows how many souls have to be won as well as how many will fall. He is a great record keeper, which is why people who carry the Prophetic Grace can speak to you about past, present and future situations as the Lord reveals it to them.
As Believers of the Lord it is part of our mandate to document everything concerning the voice of the Lord. Heaven is so full of information, and everytime we receive a download in the spirit by the voice of God we are supposed to keep journals so that the information will not be lost or forgotten, especially if we need to reference it in future. Additionally it can be used as a testimony that God speaks, and is interested in the everyday lives of every one of us. He even looks after non believers who have not yet confessed him as the Lord over their lives, they walk in his mercies.
Never take information for granted, write your dreams down, pray over them and the Lord will guide you to translate them so that you can know if it is from him or not. If it is from him you should want to know the meaning, especially if he is guiding you into something.
In the same manner every other communication from the portal of heaven should be written so that it can be referenced to testify the Goodness of God as he leads us all into truth. We need to show that God is alive and constantly speaking. Records are essential, telling somebody “I heard from God” is not enough, what did you hear? When and concerning what? Put it into context because people need to know.
Last year when the Lord told me to publish a book named “My Prophetic Journal”, I consented not knowing what was the purpose of it. I already had a journal of my dreams named “My Dream Journal” and it was edited adding things the Lord was saying as well as messages shared on my Prayer lives.
At this time it was still not clear to me why he gave me the name “Prophetic Journal” instead of dream journal but it makes sense today as there is now clarity that I’m called to the Prophetic Ministry.
This is why documentation is important, we can now look back and connect a chain of events and it makes absolute sense.
Documentation in Ministry is very important because we can easily forget and God is so mysterious, he will share something that he wants you to do, move on to something else that has to be completed right away, and then the follow up for the first item comes later on. If we do not have detailed notes we will get confused.
Things will also be revealed in parts because if we see the size of the task ahead we may want to faint, God knows so he will trickle the information to us in a way that it would be so much easier for it to be accepted and actioned without doubt.
Nobody’s memory is so good to remember what the Lord said every day for an entire year, we can barely remember the information we read while revising moments before an Assessment, this is why we need records.
If we are serious about the Administration of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the greatest record keeper of all times, we will also get serious with our Journals for the Glory of the Lord and the Edification and advancement of his Kingdom.
Take one second to think about keeping a record of every human alive Globally and those that have already passed on, recording every second of their day. The Lord’s records are great, not to mention the Book of Life, can you imagine! Help us to be better stewards, Lord Jesus, help us, in Jesus’ mighty name.
