Just like how different languages are spoken in different countries, and every language has its a unique sound and meaning that only people in that region can understand, unless someone outside that region in being thought the language by educators or God himself, tongues also is like a language originated in Heaven, which has an earthly meaning and translation that only a selected few are trained by the Lord with the guidance of the Holy Spirit can interpret.
Most tongues have a meaning, although just like there are prayers that are made out of words but does not come from the heart, likewise in the language of tongues there are repetitions where someone can memorize a sequence and repeat it over and over but in the spirit realm there is no meaning, it is just a sound. Everything that the Lord has the Devil tries to copy and has counterfeit versions to persuade people to think they are on the right track, so he can very subtly usher them into a fall.
By the Grace of the Lord my Spiritual mother, Apostle Marijana prayed with me to practise by God-given ability to interpret the tongues that comes from another person’s mouth, because prior to that I could only interpret the tongues that came from my mouth, as i’d hear the repeat in english in the spirit, this time as she prayed I repeated after her in english so that everyone in the Pray call can hear both sounds. To say the least it was so beautiful.
The Lord added to that by showing me that a sequence that cannot be translated is because it is not connected to his throne, it is a “dry tongue”. A dry tongue is a memorized sequence of tongues, it’s like a fake tongue. Sounds good to another person who does not have the gift operational, but to God there is no message, it is neither prayer nor worship, hence does not unlock anything in the spirit realm and cannot produce transformation.
We don’t just say the Holy Spirit is a teacher just for the sake of it but it is actually true. He has given us the ability to have limitless Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding, once we remain teachable and submitted under the authority of his Lordship.
I can recall praying in tongues and some time, it will start to sound like I’m speaking Chinese, this is because we are praying from a dimension that is beyond our human understanding, we are praying in the same power that raised Christ from the dead, also the same source that created all the languages known both in the earthly and the Heavenly realm. God can impart grace as required, in his desire to set the captive free. Hallelujah Jesus!
This is why we can pray in someone else’s language without understanding it on our own. In moments like that, the Holy Spirit will bare witness with our spirit for the Glory of the Lord.
The gifts are given by God, but if someone carrying a gift is not walking in the favour of God the gift cannot produce transformation. God will not take it back but it will be non functional. God will not be Glorified through that person nor gift.
The Lord has graced me with the ability to Interpret the tongues in 2018/19, but not wanting to be judged I put away the gift, however in preparing be for this appointed time and the seasons ahead, the Lord has now connected me with the right Leader in his body, our beautiful Apostle, who can unlock again and encourage the development of the gifts for the Glory of the Lord and the Advancement of his Kingdom.
I remain thankful and Blessed to be called and chosen as a vessel unto the Glory of the Lord, always eager to share the God-given Knowledge to help another believer to grow as well. Hallelujah Jesus!
