Desire

Desire opens the door for growth in every area of our lives. Although God is all powerful he does not force himself on us, we have to first Desire to grow in him then the capacity will become available so that knowledge, wisdom and understanding can be released. Likewise if we first desire our Businesses and Families to thrive then we will be driven to launch into new opportunities that can impact growth and subsequently manifest the required change.

So many people have greater potential than they are aware of in Ministry and other areas of their lives but they never really desired to find out, nor were willing to take the risks involved in alluding to change. I believe also that the anointing breaks the yoke of bondage concerning every area of our lives including the hidden treasures, hence being in God’s presence is a vital part of the unlocking and development process.

Desire is a key to newness and if we do not have a desire to do anything, nothing will be done, or things will only be done halfway not reaping the full benefits and we know that the Lord does not like slothful servants, as mentioned in Matthew 25:26. So pray for desire if you do not have it, it will encourage self driven success that the Lord will support by his power and for his Glory.

Circumstances, hurts, pains and disappointments can dry up desire and subsequently hinder development so it is recommended to stay connected to things that encourage and motivate you to keep your desire active, or “burning” as we call it sometimes, and put away the past except if you need to reference it for the Glory of the Lord to show what he brought you through.

Every human has a unique talent and hidden treasure but has to have a desire that will welcome the growth in that area. For example a desire to grow in grace that matches your consistency in praying and pursuit along the lines of spiritual development can cause new abilities to be unlocked, yet if you have the desire without beginning to do something along those lines it will still be of no effect.

When Desire matches faith it has the power to break limitations, as constant pursuit in any area can push past the norms of easily accepting things and situations for what they are.

Today in the mighty name of Jesus I pray for a release of Desire over your life! Hallelujah Jesus!
