Divination

Divination is a sin that involves consulting strange Spiritual Beings by performing occultic rituals or practices which mainly involves blood sacrifices or money sacrifices, an act that is referred to in the Caribbean as obeya. Some have labeled themselves Baptist mothers, pundits and others seers, but they are witches regardless of title.

Several years ago whilst at Church, a gentleman came to the altar to be set free and right after he testified that years prior he went to a place where a lady took him to a cemetery, and did a serious ritual on him there, she cut a foul neck and poured the fouls blood all over his head whilst chanting some strange things, and doing a whole lot of other mess, he also disclosed that in the moment he could have seen as though his eyes were open on a normal day except his eyes were closed and from that point onwards his life was like hell on earth. I cannot recall what he said led him to that place but the Lord recently reminded me of that situation as he was training my spirit to know what concerns him and what doesn’t.

“I heard the Lord say some among you are consulting strange spirits, it’s not my voice”, moments after dropping the word “Divination” in my spirit, so sharing this is basically to raise awareness, I was not given a specific locality.

We must all know that Divination is a power of the enemy and God has given us power over all his powers therefore we can also cast out the spirit of divination just like Paul did in Acts 16:18. Additionally the books Ezekiel 13:6 and Jeremiah 14:14 both confirmed that Divination is ungodly which is why Theology is important, but It is imperative also to be spiritually equipped by the Lord and awakened so that we can identify the difference. “Test the spirit”.

The Bible says to mark those that cause division and avoid them. The Lord’s desire for us is love, unity, healing, hope, joy, forgiveness, peace and so on, it is never to cause separation, unhappiness and discord.
God is always building us up and words spoken from God are always to encourage growth, development and direction or to caution.

Social media videos can confirm that people who operate under strange spirits often make a show out of dramatic demonic manifestations where they will ask several irrelevant questions to prolong the process in order to glorify themselves, yet nobody is actually getting free, instead the engagement is creating bondage by demonic deposits.

Observe on the other hand that Godly servants will set people free in a manner that displays the unadulterated love of God and protects the person’s privacy and integrity, whilst providing Godly counsel that will help them to remain free. God is love, let it be our guide in Jesus name, Amen.
