You can never come to an Altar of the Lord Jesus Christ and your life remains the same because the Altar alters. The fire of the Lord is not restricted to an Altar but it is definitely present there which is why it is a place where lives can be transformed.
You can also raise an Altar in the comfort of your home to the Lord Jesus and be consistent in visiting that place. It is not difficult, just designate a particular table, seat, wall, corner, closet prayer mat etc, and anoint can consecrate that place, also adding your prayer points, vision board or whatever the Lord leads you to do.
Consistency makes the difference when coming to the things of the Lord, which is why John 15:9 says continue “in my love”, Colossians 4:2 “Continue in prayer”; John 8:31 “continue in my word”, Acts 14:22 refers to exhorting the disciples to “continue in the faith”, 1 John 2:24 “continue in the son and in the Father”. The act of continuing is drawing closer and in that place you will grow and be able to do great exploits in the name of Jesus.
It is the desire of the Lord that all his sheep hear his voice and have Godly encounters not just some, therefore everyone should be seeking him by tarrying at their Altar on a daily basis and also tarrying for others. One of the best gifts you can give someone is a prayer that will bring them closer to the Lord who can give them eternal gifts that we cannot.
It will not always be pretty but it is normal to cry when in travail yet when the blessing is birthed just like a physical birth, all the pain and sacrifice associated with the travail will be forgotten. So remain at your Altars in the presence of the Lord and tarry, pray, seek, listen and receive direction, healing and strength. God is good and his mercies endures forever, Hallelujah Jesus!
