We have to position ourselves like Moses so that no matter what the circumstances are in our lives or in the lives of others, in reporting we shall have the habit of returning with good reports.
In the book of Numbers 13 Moses sent twelve spies to spy out the land of Canaan that they were searching out for forty days, and they came back and said it floweth with milk and honey; nevertheless the people are strong that dwell in the land we are not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger, so they brought up an evil report saying the people that they saw were men of a great stature, further explaining that they felt as grasshoppers in the sight of the sons of Anak, who came from the giants.
Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it; however the Israleites began to murmur and complain against Moses and Caleb because they did not see themselves as being able to win the battle.
If we look at the track record of the Isralelites, they were always ready to complain, first when the thought they would die at the hands of Pharaoh, then they thought that they’d die from hunger, now this, so all along they kept complaining forgetting that they will be triumphant because the Lord is with them.
Which is why In Numbers 14:12 the Lord said; I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make thee a greater nation and mightier than they.
The Lord was ready to shift their Blessing, and this is the same manner in which the Lord will look upon us when we are wavering in faith by complaining about every little situation that has made us feel disadvantaged even when we are not. We are supposed to have the same posture as Moses and Caleb, instead of bringing and carrying negative reports concerning ourselves and others, deliver good reports. We need to get into the habit of always delivering good reports only.
Father we pray in the mighty name of Jesus against every spirit of doubt, unbelief, unwillingness and weakness, nor shall we destroy others with our words in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
