Beauty in Holiness

I have always said that the most beautiful part of a person is the expression of God’s Spirit that dwells within by them by displaying the God like character that upholds the fruits of the Spirit.

Achieving Holiness is a journey that can take years upon years, because sin always comes knocking and avoiding it is a struggle every single day.

Everyday there are traps and entanglements set up on this earth for us to walk right into and if we do there will be setbacks in our strive for purity and wholeness in Christ.

Recently I was in an environment where I responded to the spirit of confusion by making a remark that offended the person who was engaging with the intention to destroy my peace with their lies and accusations. This resulted in me being a target for further wrath and verbal abuse by another person.

Moments later I sat and asked the Lord why he allowed me into such an environment in the first place among people with lack of morals and verbal etiquette. The Lord first showed me the first woman tongue as a fang, highlighting the fact that it is the spirit of the opposer doing his job, which is to oppose, secondly, he reminded me that “open rebuke is better than secret love” and to hold my peace as I was there to represent him, not to be accepted or liked by anyone.

The Lord reminded me that he has my best interest at heart and all things will work together for his good, urging me to trust the process.

All of this was said to draw the reference that Holiness in Christ is not always easy especially when we want to deal with people exactly the way they deal with us. God does not permit this so we understand that the ability to maintain composure is a requirement in this journey because serving the Lord is a label for attack from the Kingdom of darkness.

Our ability to function with the Spirit of excellence offends those that feels they don’t match up, so they enter us into competitions with them that we did not sign up for. We were never competing, but just by us showing up activates their insecurities, which provokes a negative reaction from them.

Beauty is not just what you see in the outward appearance of a person but it is reflected in the Holiness of that person, so do not let anyone affect your beauty. You can be attired in your worst, on your worst day and still be hated by another person because the enemy cannot stand the light that radiates from within us. It is our spirit and soul he is mad at more than anything else.

So continue in the righteousness of God and resist the devil so he can flee, don’t wrestle with him.

Keep your beauty and Holiness! In Jesus name.
