What does being Sold look like concerning the Kingdom of God?
It refers to being completely devoted to Christ by prioritizing God’s will in every area of your life, time, talent and substance and not being easily distracted by worldly things and selfish desires.
Your decisions and actions will be reflected according to the Gospel and seeking the counsel of the Lord surrounding any doubts will come naturally, in addition to being patient in circumstances that require waiting prayerfully rather than making the wrong decisions.
Most importantly listening to the Lord’s instruction and applying it by taking action that aligns, even when you would prefer to do something contrary to that instruction.
This just means that you are willing to put yourself last if necessary to ensure that the things concerning Ministry and Leadership are taken care of in the best way possible.
Choosing and allocating prayer times instead of recreational activities, studying the Bible at times you would normally set aside for relaxation, shopping for someone in need instead of just to fulfill your own comforts, cutting back and avoiding wastage, acknowledging that there are others without and so on.
It will become easy when we remember that we are not our own, we are bought with a price and salvation is the price, hence why the level of commitment we show in return upon acknowledging this is referred to as being completely “sold to Jesus”.
Yesterday, the Lord showed me the word sold being written on a notice board, in fact, I was writing it in a dream as I fell back asleep not too long after hearing the audible voice of the Lord for the first time as he woke me. It took me a while to understand the message, I kept pondering on why the Lord was showing me the word sold asking myself if I am sold, then it dawned on me that I am Sold to the Lord Jesus by receiving salvation, and the assignment of Ministry which is a commitment that has to be kept first.
In connecting the dots, I came to the realization also that he wants me to encourage others to be sold to Jesus also, hence why I was writing it on a Board before a class. The Lord was reinforcing the commitment because that same morning, I could hear in the spirit “take the Gospel to the children”, whilst he was also reminding me there is “Beauty in Holiness”.
The Lord has taught me things that no human has ever, he is more than a Saviour, a Father, Counsellor, Comforter and Teacher. It is not just things we say because we read about it or hear others say but can refer to this specifically because we have an active relationship with him.
Hallelujah Jesus!
