Binding Hypocrisy

There is a lack of Authenticity in the body of Christ that does not Glorify Jesus. We have to first be able to fully accept our lives and embrace ourselves before being able to help others.

People can easily see themselves in your hurts which will allow them to authentically connect on those grounds, which will create ample opportunity for us to Minister to their needs. We would also be able to better counsel and guide after having gone through similar circumstances, by sharing our coping strategies and the things we have learnt in the rise from it, or as we still go through the healing journey.

Most people try to cover their scars by not wanting to expose the disorder or possible dysfunction in any area of their lives, which is not good because transformation cannot take place when there is an inability to embrace the truth.

Just to draw a reference, people who struggle with alcohol abuse are always called to first introduce themselves by admitting, as a key part of being walked through the healing process. The truth will always set us free, concerning healing, growth and every major form of transformation including helping others to heal through their trials.

The word of the Lord and everything concerning Salvation is truth and life, therefore we as Believers are called to display truth everywhere we go even as it pertains to your own lives. Although, some believers try to hide aspects of their journey in the Lord mainly to impress their peers. This is a major fault, it is hypocrisy.

Being the judge of others and not allowing the Lord to be the judge that he is, causes one to hide themselves.

When people are not allowed to see your flaws they will not be comfortable to talk to you concerning their flaws, expecting you to judge them or not have empathy. Even if they do open up a bit they will not trust your guidance because there will be a notion that you are not in a position to understand nor have ever been there, so they will assume that you cannot guide them at all.

People will rather talk to someone that they can see themselves in, even if it is not present, at least they will know that you can speak from a place of knowing because you have been there previously. Seeing your progress will encourage them that they can also be matured, strengthened and healed through whatever it is they are faced with.

Apart from that, honesty is foundational and should be the first response from all of us, saved or not. This is taught even to children, much less for adults, and if you are teaching your children not to express their discomforts or struggles then you may be building a fake and deceitful generation that will not know how to provoke and promote healing. Nobody should live a lie! Embrace and express how you feel and share what you are going through.

This is why the Lord gives us tests so that we can have testimonies. This means that some of the trials we are given are permitted by the Lord so that he can guide us through enabling us to help others in future. It is my belief that in whatever area of your life you struggle, that will be the foundation of the Ministry the Lord has placed inside of you because all things work together for good, to them that love God and are called according to his purpose.

For example it may not be something we face in our personal lives that includes someone else but that we ourselves may have done or struggled with something, even if it is a behavioral pattern, trying to hide it means that we are expected to know better. The Lord says; “He that covereth his sins, shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them, shall have mercy”, therefore we are expected to openly confess things, so we should be guided by this.

Secrecy is ungodly, it does not glorify the Lord Jesus in our lives when we try to act like we all have things together. It is Pride! which takes root in many different forms.

Bring your secrets, trials, struggles and insecurities to the forefront of your life so that as you work your way through them you can be a blessing to someone else in that same area of life. Look at it like this, if you cover it someone else will “expose you” then you will no longer be trusted as an upright person.

There is not one human that has it together in every area and aspect of their lives, that is a lie! Somebody somewhere is struggling with something. Some may be aware and some while others may be in it so deep that they cannot notice, much less express themselves properly.

Know when and where to share so that sharing will not make things worse, start with small support circles till you are able to share on a bigger scale helping more people because there are several people who are hiding their lives while talking about the lives of others. Personally, I am dead to my own will and subsequently, found life in Christ and this has bridged the gap regarding my ability to put personal things out there as public knowledge.

Father we come before you in the name of Jesus and we release the hypocrisy from the lives of your people in, set them free Lord from all lies and insecurities, we bring their actions into the alignment of your will in Jesus name, amen. Hallelujah, Glory be to God!
