Firstly, there is Jealousy in the Body of Christ that is stifling expansion and vision of the Ministry. This has caused cliques within the body and if the Lord moves you to connect with someone outside of that circle doing so can cause tension which will keep back the Lord’s work.
Jealousy is not from God, we are supposed to support each other in every endeavor that the Lord has led our fellow siblings in the Lord, understanding that we are not in a competition. Churches were never expected to be against each other, neither believers. We are expected to work together for the glorification of the Lord.
So if you see someone’s life getting blessed whether physically or according to the measure of the Spirit, never desire it because that is evil. In fact seeing them blessed should be a reminder that God is still in the business of blessing and your turn will come. You should not attempt to keep a believer back as it pertains to any aspect of their Ministry, instead guide, add value and support in whatever way possible to further encourage advancement and development, because if they are chosen you are trying to sabotage the Lord not them, and will pay the price for the works of your hands or words. Choose gospel over gossip, don’t make gossip your gospel.
Remembering also that from the moment you desire to shine and be seen, you are one step before self destruction. Ministry is not about us but about the freedom, salvation and well-being of others. Trying to keep someone back in order to get ahead means that you are in Ministry for “self” and not “God”.
Do not stifle God’s Ministry! You cannot be pulling down hindrances when you have made yourself one by posing obstruction and constant objection in the body at the sight of growth and expression.
God can use whosoever he desires to complete a task, even a plant or animal if required, so never get complacent by thinking God’s work cannot get ahead without you. Don’t try to fit the things of God into a confined space and stifle the vision for expansion.
Secondly, dictatorship leadership has taken over the Church, some assigned leaders are using fear and control, not making mention of the fear of the Lord, the fear of man by creating consequences for actions you don’t “agree with” by discrimination, not “Godly judgement”.
A democratic style of leadership would be better as it would encourage others to participate in open communication where they can share ideas and insights, leading to a more fruitful environment especially as we know God is not speaking to one person only in a particular place, therefore the gifts can be combined for a more productive body.
God needs team players, who desire to see every aspect of his body flourish!
Romans 16:17 – “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them”.
