Understanding the Grace upon a servant of the Lord

Ephesians 3:7-8 (KJV) 7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ

Ephesians 4:7 (KJV) But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

As we look at the mentioned scriptures extracted from the book of Ephesians, discussing the Grace of the Lord concerning every servant and every different Ministry we must understand that everyone functions under a different Grace. All Grace comes from the Lord but everyone has a different measure.

The measure of grace affects the level of understanding, ability to complete different things, for example one person may do things with a spirit of excellence while another may do it to a different standard, based on the vision that they have been shown by the Lord. Some have the ability to see further than others, which is why we should not chastise how a believer does something if it is not done the way we would have done it or how we understand. The Gospel is unchangeable no doubt, however, the revelation received will vary from believer to believer, hence it will be shared from that perspective only, we can only share what we have witnessed or experienced in order to deliver it with conviction.

For example if you listen to me read the Gospel in 2020, it will not be how I read it now in 2025 because the Grace upon me increased from then to now, in 2030 it will also be different because I have not “arrived”, there is room to grow everyday. I was not going live then, rather just making videos and uploading them. One day I was on a live with Pastor Asaba and he prayed for the Grace upon me as a servant to be increased so that more can be done in my Ministry concerning the things of God. Someone can have a lot of wisdom but if they do not have the Grace to speak, or write then it will remain trapped inside for as long as it takes for them to grow in Grace.

Some have received the Grace to teach, some to speak, some to perform deliverance, some to counsel, some to train up leaders, some to effectively gather souls, some to make you laugh, some to deal with the functions of the mind like my good friend Michelle who is a Phycologist.

The Grace of God can grow, just like when we have a baby we will given them mamas milk, then as they grow they will be given formula, then puree, then fruits, then soft solids, then chewable solids as their digestive systems develop and as we give them more they will get stronger and stronger becoming able to do more, walk, talk, ask questions and so forth. God does the same with us, the grace is new everyday, because it is a slow steady increase. If he just drops a bucket of Grace upon our heads we will mess up.

Even Jesus who was special from birth had to await the age of maturity when he received the Grace to fully come into his God-given Ministry around the age of thirty.

So when we see someone stumbling we need to pray for them to receive the grace to do better rather than instructing them to do so. The Grace of God changes thoughts, desire, ability, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, our ability to serve better, our ability to love better, and so on. Let us understand the Grace upon our siblings in the Lord.

Even as Ministers of the Gospel we must understand that everyone will receive the messages according to the grace given to them. Ten people can leave a place and they all  heard the same message yet each to their own understanding took away a different nugget. Should they gather and quibble the differences? NO! there is no need for a debate concerning the things of God.

Additionally, when we see a desire for expansion in motion concerning the growth of spreading the Gospel to different platforms, it is simply the grace upon that leader in motion, as God gives assignments based on the ability he has placed inside of us from our mothers womb.

The Body of Christ will be much better when we can acknowledge the Grace upon a Servant of the Lord on every level not allowing the fleshy aspects of that individual to be our main focus. We are not called to idolize a man or woman which is why Grace comes first, in our efforts to keep the Lord first. This will help us to treat people better as well, with more love when we can address the God in them, by his Grace.

Lord, we thank you for giving us the Grace to acknowledge and understand the Grace upon every one of your people so that we can address them better, having patience, love and understanding, along with the ability to appreciate them better in Jesus name!
