Praying for Cambodia

I was praying, when in the spirit I heard Cambodia, it was not the first time God mentioned a country or region to me like this. I’d normally cover that region in prayer and move on, however this time I was specifically instructed to research the country.

Upon doing so realized that 80% of Cambodia’s population are Theravada Buddhist with 1% Christian and the majority of the remaining 19% of their population follow Islam, atheism, or animism or hinduism.

Upon making this discovery knew that God is concerned about the salvation of the people in that country. In fact the second largest city in Cambodia known as Siem Reap is filled with huge temples including the “Angkor Wat”, which means that the country is almost filled with idol worshippers and there is a drastic minority of believers there, maybe not willingly but it may be all that they know, hence the Lord needs us to become serious about missionary work concerning the expansion of the Kingdom by spreading the Gospel to places like this where it is in desperate need for Godly wisdom and knowledge.

The Bible says that people perish due to a lack of knowledge. We as a body of Christ have a lot of work to do in efforts to ensure that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess Jesus Christ as Lord. Many are still in darkness and it is still our responsibility as a Christian body to work in God’s vineyard as faithful branches in his vine, by producing fruit that will remain. The harvest is Great, therefore, look beyond your local Church, take your Ministry across the waters. Do not sit by and just exist as a believer without putting in the work.

English is rarely spoken in Cambodia, because they have their own language and are surrounded by Asian and Vietnamese countries. However, God created every language under the sun, therefore if it is his desire that your Ministry visit a foreign country in order to spread the Gospel he will make a way. He is the same God that allows us to understand the heavenly language and things of the spirit.

We have received the truth ahead of many others in order to help them and teach them about God, pray that they become free from the bondage of sin and death. Let them know Jesus Christ is alive and in his name we have conquered death and the grave, so that we can enjoy eternal life in heavenly places.

It is still our civil duty to help people to know that life does not end on earth and in doing so, seek salvation for others in Jesus name.
