Strength like Sampson

Although God gives everyone a different gift and different abilities, we have to remember that what God gives can be measured unto any believer of God, he said we receive according to our faith.

This article was birthed from a joke exchanged between me and my father in heaven, where something that I was doing required manly strength and having no assistance around at the time, and first trying to make the lift realizing it was above my capacity, “I paused and said, Lord give me strength like Sampson” jokingly knowing how important it was for the lift to be made and how many times I may be required to do so. God really has a sense of humor because he enabled me to complete a very daring task that I know could not have logically been done alone, and when I looked back afterwards, I thankfully said “God you really came through”. The reality is that without strength from above I could have really damaged myself.

Sometimes we are given the grace to come through things and we take it so lightly not giving God the glory. He provides more than just healing and physical things, also saying ask and make your request known, which is what we need to remember. The most important part of asking is knowing and believing that he can perform the impossible.

On any regular day I could not have lifted and moved anything as heavy, especially multiplied by as many times as it was done. Also, even after beginning, could have completed one and become exhausted. Therefore of course It is God, plain and simple and there were absolutely no muscle sores from lifting afterwards.

We have to be able to see God in everything, the rain, the sun, the wind, in our plants, and in so many other ways he speaks. The fact that he even listens to our hearts is enough of a reminder that he is so close and attentive, therefore ask even as a joke and he will provide.

What God doesn’t give to us especially in the time we are requesting it, more than likely is because that thing may not be in his will concerning us. Although he can still allow things in permissive will. For example if what I was carded to do did not make sense in his sight I would not have been given the grace, then after failing to be able to complete it on my own may have made me lose interest in doing it at all, much less to even source another human to assist.

Father I come before you in the name of Jesus, thanking you for giving us all the strength in times of weakness or inability, enabling us the capacity to get things done for your glory, father, continue to guide us all and provide every need according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
